Wesleyan Covenant Bible Methodist Church Childrens Ministry Policy
- No one shall work in the Childrens Ministry except people who have attended the church for at least 6 months.
- Every person wishing to work in the childrens ministry shall fill out a screening application, listing any and all convictions they have had in the past, their past church work experience and references, etc.
- This application is reviewed by the Pastor, who chooses to accept or reject candidates.
- All applicants must agree to church disciplinary procedure:
- Verbal warning.
- Move offender and/or loss of the incentive award or privilege.
- Remove offender to another worship center or time-out area.
- Call parents or transport offender home.
- Give report of actions to the Pastor.
- No corporal punishment is to be used at any time for any reason.
- Physical contact is only to be used to restrain a child from hurting himself and/or others, or for removing him from the worship center or vehicle used to transport him/her.
- Every applicant is checked against the National Registry of Sex Offenders, to ensure your childs safety and protection.
- No child is to be left unsupervised, except for bathroom breaks, etc. No children are to be left together without adult supervision.
- Adults should not be alone with a child on church grounds.
